The short version
This site helps you understand a piece of land. The instant readings, the Land Record, and the native plant lists are orientation, not a survey, and not professional advice. A region list is not a plant identification. Anything you eat, apply, plant, or build on is your call — confirm it with the right expert first. Use the site and you accept the terms below.
Who runs this
Noon Bio is operated by Noon Systems Corporation, a Texas Public Benefit Corporation based in San Antonio, Texas. Reach us anytime at hello@noon.bio.
The readings are estimates, not surveys
Instant readings draw on public datasets — soil survey, elevation and hydrography, climate, flood mapping, biodiversity records, and walkability indices — resolved to the address you enter. They are a first orientation, not a measured survey. Some layers (biodiversity, walkability) are neighborhood-scale signals, not parcel-specific. Soil, drainage, and water move at a finer grain than any national map.
Our field readings are field-observed, not lab-confirmed. Laboratory analysis, engineering, and any stamped or certified work are referred to licensed and accredited partners. Nothing on this site is engineering, legal, medical, or financial advice. Before you spend money or break ground, get the on-the-ground assessment and the licensed professionals the decision deserves.
On surveying, specifically. Noon offers ecological survey (vegetation, tree inventory, soil, habitat, hydrology) and design-grade site mapping (drone and LiDAR terrain capture) as field services. Noon is not a licensed land surveying firm. Nothing we produce is a boundary survey, plat, or ALTA survey, and we do not determine property lines or corners — in Texas that work may only be performed by a licensed Registered Professional Land Surveyor, and we refer it to one.
Plants, foraging & traditional use — read this
The native palette is a regional starting list of plants documented for the area — grouped by what they give back. It is generated from public records and your site conditions. It is not a plant identification, and it is not a recommendation to eat, harvest, or apply anything.
Confirm every plant with a qualified expert before you eat, apply, or rely on it. Many native plants have toxic look-alikes, and some are dangerous or fatal if misidentified or misused. A name on a list is not an identification.
Foraging and traditional-use information is provided for education only. You assume all risk. If you are not completely certain of an identification and its safe preparation, do not consume or apply it.
Traditional and ethnobotanical uses are a historical and cultural record — not medical advice. They are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a licensed professional. Consult one before using any plant medicinally, and especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medication.
Products & affiliate links
Some pages link to tools and materials we use or recommend. Noon is an Amazon Associate and earns from qualifying purchases made through those links, at no extra cost to you. We do not control third-party sellers, their prices, their stock, or their products, and a link is not a warranty of any item. Lab fees we quote (for example, soil testing) are the lab's own published prices and can change.
Your account & your records
If you create a Land Record or use the property tools, keep your access link private and give us accurate information. Don't misuse the site — no scraping at scale, no attempts to break access controls, no uploading anything unlawful or harmful. We may suspend access that puts the service or other people at risk.

No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep the data accurate and current, but public datasets contain errors and gaps, and we do not warrant that any reading, list, or figure is complete, correct, or fit for a particular purpose.
