Service · Pest balance

Organic mosquito control that works.

No fogging. No synthetic sprays that kill the predators with the pests. Treat the imbalance, not the symptom.

BTI · predator habitat · water audit San Antonio · Hill Country

Mosquitoes are a symptom of imbalance. The protocol below treats the imbalance.

Most mosquito control in San Antonio works by spraying synthetic adulticides — pyrethroids, often delivered by thermal fog. Adults die for 24-48 hours. So do bees, butterflies, lacewings, dragonflies, and the predatory wasps that were eating mosquito larvae for you. Then the mosquitoes come back, and their predators don't.

Noon's approach is the opposite. We treat the water that breeds them, install the biology that hunts them, and let the property's ecology do the long-term work.

§ 1 · How it works

The 4-week organic protocol.

Mosquito reduction follows a simple sequence. About 70% of the result comes from one move: removing or treating standing water. The rest comes from biology.

By week 6, most properties see 70%+ mosquito reduction from baseline. By month 3, the property defends itself.

§ 4 · Why organic

Why not just fog?

Fogging works for about 48 hours. Then everything resets — minus the predators. Pyrethroid foggers kill every flying insect they touch: bees pollinating your tomatoes, ladybugs eating aphids on your roses, dragonflies eating mosquito larvae in your fountain, lacewings keeping scale off your live oak. They're all gone. The mosquitoes — which lay 100-300 eggs at a time and reach adulthood in 8-10 days — come back faster than their predators do.

So the second-week mosquito population is sometimes higher than the first. Then the homeowner schedules another fog. Then another. The fogging company has a recurring contract. You've built a chemical addiction with no end state.

The organic protocol takes longer to ramp up. By the end of the season you don't need it anymore. That's the point.

§ 6 · FAQ

Common questions.

Does organic mosquito control actually work?
Yes — when it treats the root cause. About 70% of mosquito reduction comes from removing standing water and adding biological predators. Synthetic foggers kill adults for 48 hours, then the population rebounds — without their predators. Organic protocols build long-term suppression by changing the ecology.
What is BTI and is it safe?
BTI is Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, a naturally occurring soil bacterium that kills mosquito larvae specifically. Harmless to humans, pets, fish, frogs, birds, bees, and beneficial insects. EPA-registered for organic use. You can buy it at any hardware store as "mosquito dunks" or "Bits."
How long does it take to work?
Standing-water elimination is immediate. BTI kicks in within 24 hours. Predator habitat takes 4-8 weeks to establish, but by week 6 most properties see 70%+ reduction from baseline. Fogging gets you 48 hours; organic gets you a season.
Do you fog or spray?
No. Thermal fogging and synthetic adulticide spraying kill mosquitoes for 24-48 hours, then everything rebounds — minus the predators. Bees, butterflies, lacewings, dragonflies all die in the same fog. We don't use them.
How much does organic mosquito control cost in San Antonio?
A property-wide protocol typically runs $450-$1,800 depending on lot size and water-feature complexity. Includes the audit, BTI treatment, fan recommendations, and predator habitat install. Most properties need one main treatment per season — DIY refresh after that.
What areas do you serve?
San Antonio, Boerne, Bulverde, Helotes, Spring Branch, Canyon Lake, Fair Oaks Ranch, Stone Oak, Alamo Heights, Olmos Park, Castle Hills, and the broader Texas Hill Country.
